The St. James Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for their annual awards. Each year the citizens of St. James recognize someone who has volunteered their time and energy to help our community be a better place. This year the Chamber has added 2 new award categories. The award categories are:
Citizen of The Year: Think of that person or couple who you always see helping others or volunteering their time, whether this is at church, in the community or for an organization here in St. James.
Business of the Year: Can you think of a business this past year that has given unselfishly of their resources and their time? One whose employees you see involved in the community over and over again.
Organization of the Year: This award will go to an organization that represents St. James in a positive light and promotes our community. Think of an organization whose members give of their time and volunteer to make St. James a better place for us all.
Lifetime Achievement Award: We are looking for a special individual who consistently throughout their lifetime have given to their community in innumerable ways. Their contributions could be in a variety of ways that demonstrate their love and concern for the community and for others.
Future Leader of the Year: This award will go to a youth or teen who shows an eagerness towards volunteering or making their community a better place. Someone who has made a positive difference in the lives of others.
Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Members of the Chamber Board of Directors or a Chamber Committee will nominate a volunteer that went above and beyond to help at our Chamber organized or supported events.
There are so many that we can think of who deserve one of these awards, however we want to hear from you!
The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, January 10th, 2020
