Tourist Information Center

The St. James Tourist Information Center (TIC) is not just for tourists. From the beautiful walking trail to the myriad of information available for both residents and visitors, the facility strives to meet the needs of its guests.

Local residents and tourists can be found stretching their legs and raising their heart rate on the half-mile paved walking path that meanders through the grass way that lies between Hwy. B and I-44. Families can picnic at the tables or play with their pets while they take a break from travels. Other outside activities include a Farmers’ Market and Saturday Tailgate Flea Market from April through October and local car shows throughout the summer months. Activities are listed check under Visit St. James/Event Calendar. Don’t forget to like us on Facebook!

The inside of the facility is as nice as the outside with clean, ADA compliant restrooms, and information and wall displays showcasing area businesses and attractions. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will greet you with a smile and guide you on your journey. You can also pick up a menu from the local restaurants before you leave and help yourself to the cards and brochures from the area businesses. Surrounding state maps are available at no charge, as well as information on Missouri attractions.
The TIC serves as a ticket hub for area events including Annual Banquet, Sip ‘n Savor and Grape and Fall Festival. It really is the best place to get St. James information. We know what’s going on so stop by and see us anytime!
